Biotechnology is the science of modern day which deals mainly with gene manipulation. It encompasses different branches of science like life science, chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics and many other subjects. This modern field of science has widespread applications. These days we are very much aware of genetically modified crops. These crops are disease resistant and sometimes are rich in certain particular nutrients like certain vitamins, proteins which are not usually found in their normal counterparts. A lot of applications are found in the field of medicine and drugs also. Overall it is the science of biotechnology which will rule the world in the coming decades.
